No I couldn't think of any ONE particular topic for tonight's title, because it's late and I'm tired. BUT....I've got to get this off my chest before going to bed, so forgive me if some of the following isn't perfect, or starts to ramble. (I'll edit it eventually)
Anyway, I don't even know where to begin. Let me first say that YES, I do smoke cigarettes regularly and YES, I do realize the harmful effects it's had/having on my lungs/body.
But I'll be completely honest and tell anyone who asks the inevitable question: "So why don't you just quit smoking?" Because I don't have the BALLS/WILL/COURAGE/PATIENCE/RESOLVE to quit right now. As plain and simple as that.
Which leads me to my 1st rant.
The House of Representatives yesterday voted 289-139 to pass a 156% increase in the federal excise tax on cigarettes (taking it from 39 cents per pack to $1.00, not counting state taxes which average over $1 a pack). The estimated $33 billion tax hike (over 4-1/2 years) would be earmarked to expand the State Children's Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP)
Why in the HELL, during such times as these. When MOST, if not ALL of middle-class America are being SQUEEZED dry, would a 586% tax in-fucking-crease be signed into law on ALL TOBACCO PRODUCTS??? Effectively compounding the financial situation of those of us who choose to, for whatever reason(s), use tobacco!
Because it's not like the price of everything else has gone up dramatically in recent years already. *read: Food, gas, shelter, medicine...etc, etc* ON TOP of losing our jobs, homes, savings.
Why isn't ALCOHOL being hit with an almost $2.00/bottle, ounce, whatever tax along with tobacco? Hmmm, lemme think. Maybe because, as much as we smoker's have been demonized, and told of all the death's directly linked to our evil, sinful pleasure called smoking. But guess what? When all of the consequences/costs of each product's use are analyzed and compared to each other, ALCOHOL actually LEADS TOBACCO in it's destructiveness in human terms.
NCSL - State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) Reauthorization

Are you a good voter?
Are you ready to cast your ballot? (Good for you) Or are you still on the fence about who you're going to vote for? No way!! Are you serious?? It's friggin Halloween and the evidence presented before you HASN'T convinced you of who's the best candidate for AMERICA?
Umm.....HELLLOOOOO?
If the past 8 years hasn't changed your mind than I guess NOTHING will huh? Not the illegal warrantless wiretapping, not the torturing of POW's in Gitmo Bay, not the controversial hiring/firing of DOJ attorney's, not the fiasco that was the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, not the sad state of affairs our economy is in, not the $10-12BILLION/mth for a war we shouldn't be in, in the first place?? If none of the above reasons, (and a 100 more btw if you can handle the truth), AND neither of the candidates plans/promises have swayed you, than maybe you should do the country a favor and just stay home next Tues. I mean, seriously....WTF??
Sarah Palin has been called because she's NOT ready to be VP, let alone Prez.
*and yes, the above external links are from "non-partisan" news sources"
=====================================================
Or as Bill Folman put's it:
1. Do you feel you made a mistake in 2004 when you voted for George W. Bush?
If your answer is yes, then maybe you're just not good at voting. Every single thing you probably hate about Bush's second term was either already in evidence during his first term or was a direct result of actions taken during those first four years. The arrogant foreign policy, the massive deficits, the deregulation, the cronyism, the wasteful spending, the endless war, the bad environmental policies -- all this was on the table in 2004. In fact, Bush probably made more mistakes in his first term than in his second. But why didn't that sway your vote when it mattered? Perhaps you were uninformed or perhaps you were misinformed. Perhaps you were fully aware of Bush's faults but chose to cast your vote on the basis of personality rather than policy. We'll deal with all of these points in a moment. For now, you should ask yourself this: if I got it totally wrong in 2004, how do I know I won't get it wrong again in 2008?

In light of the BIG DAY coming up in less than 2 weeks, a hilarious video of bipartisian crumping on the dance floor. Lolz @ Palin in the end.

Obama! Obama!
Sup bitches? What's that? Where have i been? Nowhere why? I just haven't felt like dealing with this lately. The last thing i want to do after 10 hrs of fixing computers is to come home and sit in front of another computer and blog about my so called life. Meh! I'd rather "veg-surf" on some celebrity gossip, video game shit than copy and paste shit here all night. Double Meh! It's not that i'm lazy. (ok, so what if i am), it's just that trying to keep current AND blog shit about it is lotsa work. I'm watching the DNC right now and it's kind of inspired me to log back in here and type to myself.
So what's new? Nothing here either. The wedding's creeping ever so closer........"Duhn, duhn, duh-duh, Duhn" But i'm not fraeknig otu abuot ti or antyhing. Ha ha. Jus teasin bitches.
Football season's finally back, and i need another couple of manager's for this year's Yahoo fantasy league if anyone's interested. Shit, what am i saying........no one even reads this crap.
Oh well.........such is life on the interwebz. Win some, lose some right?
Oh and Citrus park little league should'a won the W.S. Not Hawaii of all places. But i guess that's better than Mexico right? Oops, oh wait. I can say that cause i'm a spic myself. You know....the one's being deported by the hundreds since the uproar over the border, that is. Here's an interesting article about the situation, and how we're just dropping immigrints off at the border at all hours of the night, children under 13 without their mothers. People who have medical condtions, etc.
So, congrat's Hawaii. You're the world champs! Lahdee frikin dah
Oh and i'd been meaning to put these up before, but you know me. So here's a few pix from our trip down to Ft. Lauderdale. Err, I mean Miami......errr, Coral Springs. Err...FT LAUDERDALE!!!

Higher Risk of Assassination?
If Obama were to be our 1st black Pres.......do u think his life would, or is now, in danger? I mean....let's be real. Even today, 2008, the racist's are aplenty. And they still have NO TOLERANCE for any other race. ESPECIALLY AFRICAN-AMERICANS!
I couldn't imagine how I'd feel, if that tragedy played out on our TVs.
I think I'd finally feel that enough is enough. And i hate to say it, but would probably immigrate to another country. (yes...i know it's inescapable no matter where you'd choose)
What do you think? Would/Is Barack's life in danger now or if elected President?
