The Bush-Cheney Record

So with all this "Who's to blame for the current economic situation?" stuff going around. I figured I'd put this up for all to see.

The numbers speak for themselves here, so I won't indulge myself. The only thing I can say is if this doesn't open your eyes to the past 8 years, I dunno what will.

It's FINALLY over America!

Wow! What a sad, shell of our former selves, America's become in the past 8 years huh? I can't even begin to imagine what kind of year 2009's going to be for not only Obama, but ALL of us, after Bush completely, and utterly destroyed our nation.

Including, but not limited to: the war in Iraq, Hurricane Katrina, our national debt/economy, and on, and on, and on, and.....shit, fucking almost anything else that he had a part of.

So with a mere FOUR DAYS left under the WORST president in history, here's a quick recap for those of you who still need reminding of the meaning of the term:

EPIC FAIL

Baghdad ER

Holy crap man. Do you want to see part of G. W. Bush's legacy with your own eyes? Then check out Baghdad ER on HBO. But be warned, it's insanely graphic.

I felt a multitude of emotion while watching it. Part sadness, part anger, so forth and so on. But mostly....mad amounts of respect for those men and women. Barely 21 years old, and getting your leg or arm blown off. And for WHAT? I'll tell u what. For the profiteering of Bush, Cheney, and all the other bastard, motherfuckers who capitalized off of our soldiers deaths. Period! It pisses me off to no extent. Another reason Obama's our new Prez. (The Iraqi's called and said they WANT their country back)

And then i read some of the propaganda, and hate-filled op-ed's from around the net. Mainly from the far right fringes of our society. Mostly made-up, straw grabbing BS that when held up to the light of day doesn't make a bit of sense. You know.....the shit like, "Obama and the Dem's will only weaken our country", and "He's giving away your money", and "He's a socialist/marxist who wants to kill babies". Ummm....yeah, ok.

Don't these people know how to read? Don't they learn from past mistakes? Can you honestly look your mother in the eyes, and say that "We're better off now than we were 8 years ago"? The whole socialism/communist, whatever thing gets me. It's not like socialism doesn't ALREADY EXIST in our society. Don't they know that they're own tax $$ have been funding their leaders "HEALTHCARE" for decades now? Why the hell should only a select few have access to....cover your ears....."Privatized", aka, "Socialized" healthcare when so many Americans are losing limb, and life each and every day?

Next, he won't be giving away, the "Majority" of Americans money........he'll be doing something that should've been done a long time ago. Requiring the upper 2% of tax payers to pay their fair share for a change. So are YOU rich? If so, than i can certainly understand why you voted for McCain. I would too to use loopholes in the laws to GET OUT of paying taxes. But i'm not....and neither are most American's. So Obama makes more sense.

Oh, and I'm not going to get into the issue of abortion. Because frankly, it shouldn't be an issue. I do not condone it, but I understand it's a fact of life in this country. Just like gay marriage....I don't condone it, but again....fact of life. It's none of ANYONE'S damn business what women choose to do with THEIR own bodies/lives. Haven't you ever read our "Bill of Rights"? You know, something about the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS???

Happy Halloween everyone!

Ahh, the autumn air is upon most of us here in the good ole US of A. Too bad our Government doesn't really give a shit if that air is polluted for us, or our future generations eh? In case any of you've been wondering exactly what he's been doing these past few weeks. And it hasn't been campaigning with McCain. That's the LAST person they want to be seen with in public.

He's been hard at work rewriting laws that yet again HURT , the WaPo recently posted this article, about Bush's last push to deregulate. You know....the same kind that helped bring this economic crisis upon us. He's quietly been working to enact a wide array of federal regulations.

"many of which would weaken government rules aimed at protecting consumers and the environment"

"They want these rules to continue to have an impact long after they leave office," said Matthew Madia, a regulatory expert at OMB Watch, a nonprofit group critical of what it calls the Bush administration's penchant for deregulating in areas where industry wants more freedom. He called the coming deluge "a last-minute assault on the public . . . happening on multiple fronts."

One rule, being pursued...would allow current emissions at a power plant to match the highest levels produced by that plant...overturning a rule that more strictly limits such emission increases....would allow millions of tons of additional carbon dioxide into the atmosphere annually.

(And yes, almost all presidents do these types of things during their last days, usually helping industries and persons who've favored that Prez's policies and such, only this jack ass targets MAJOR ENVIRONMENTAL regulations that are in place for AMERICAN'S SAFETY/CONCERN)

Are you a good voter?

Are you ready to cast your ballot? (Good for you) Or are you still on the fence about who you're going to vote for? No way!! Are you serious?? It's friggin Halloween and the evidence presented before you HASN'T convinced you of who's the best candidate for AMERICA?

Umm.....HELLLOOOOO?

If the past 8 years hasn't changed your mind than I guess NOTHING will huh? Not the illegal warrantless wiretapping, not the torturing of POW's in Gitmo Bay, not the controversial hiring/firing of DOJ attorney's, not the fiasco that was the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, not the sad state of affairs our economy is in, not the $10-12BILLION/mth for a war we shouldn't be in, in the first place?? If none of the above reasons, (and a 100 more btw if you can handle the truth), AND neither of the candidates plans/promises have swayed you, than maybe you should do the country a favor and just stay home next Tues. I mean, seriously....WTF??

Sarah Palin has been called because she's NOT ready to be VP, let alone Prez.

Or as Bill Folman put's it:

1. Do you feel you made a mistake in 2004 when you voted for George W. Bush?

If your answer is yes, then maybe you're just not good at voting. Every single thing you probably hate about Bush's second term was either already in evidence during his first term or was a direct result of actions taken during those first four years. The arrogant foreign policy, the massive deficits, the deregulation, the cronyism, the wasteful spending, the endless war, the bad environmental policies -- all this was on the table in 2004. In fact, Bush probably made more mistakes in his first term than in his second. But why didn't that sway your vote when it mattered? Perhaps you were uninformed or perhaps you were misinformed. Perhaps you were fully aware of Bush's faults but chose to cast your vote on the basis of personality rather than policy. We'll deal with all of these points in a moment. For now, you should ask yourself this: if I got it totally wrong in 2004, how do I know I won't get it wrong again in 2008?

200 yrs of respect destroyed in the last 8

I absolutely am addicted to Crooks & Liars and the HuffPo. Mr Amato and friends have loyal following in the blogosphere. One that offers little gems like the clip below. So i hope they don't get mad i posted it. Not to use anything as an excuse, but i didn't have much luck in trying to find any contact info. Sorry. Anyway....Richard Dreyfuss said a few things that put our plight in a different perspective on MSNBC yesterday. Like the fact Europe has a few thousand years on America. And how BushCo has thoroughly trashed any and almost all progress we've made in our nations short lifetime.

Dead on balls accurate i'd say.

Grass Roots Rock!!!

The Senate passed a FISA reform bill last week that not only falls short on adequately protecting Americans from warrantless surveillance, but also shamefully grants retroactive immunity to the telecommunications companies that may have aided the Bush administration’s illegal domestic wiretapping.

The House, which is showing encouraging signs of spinal fortitude in recent days, can still stop this. That is why we are launching an emergency petition to STOP TELECOM IMMUNITY. Please be one of the first to sign.

Americans are speaking out — thousands have taken action, hundreds have participated in our collaborative multimedia project with the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and have sent us video testimonials and pictures expressing their opposition to telecom immunity and warrantless spying.

The House is thus far refusing to follow the Senate’s lead on telecom immunity. And last week, a majority in the House heeded the call of the nearly 45,000 PFAW petition signers and voted to hold White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former White House Counsel Harriet Miers in contempt of Congress for their failure to honor congressional subpoenas.

The contempt vote showed that the House is ready to hold the administration accountable AND that petitions can make a real difference (in whipping votes, trying to move the contempt resolution, our allies on the Hill specifically cited the PFAW petition as part of the case that Americans wanted to see administration officials held accountable to the rule of law).

Happy V Day

How the hell does something live to be 8 MILLION years old? Got me.

It's a good thing we don't. Could you imagine a society that old? Instead of 4-8 years in office, our Prez's would spend more like 100 years in the W.H. Thank God the end of Bush's Reign is finally close. Maybe we still have a chance to undo some of the damage.

Need a reminder of the JOKE that's been his presidency? How about some of his dumbest, and i mean flat out STUPID quotes of his.

"I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein." (Bush in Washington, D.C., May 25, 2004)

"I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound largemouth bass in my lake." (Bush describing the highlight of his time in office to a German interviewer, May 7, 2006)

"I'm not the expert on how the Iraqi people think, because I live in America, where it's nice and safe and secure." (Bush in Washington, D.C., Sept. 23, 2004)

Of course there's a few dozen others that have astounded us. The OB-GYN one. The coexisting with fish one. The putting food on your family one. Etc, and so on.

Simply stunning.
